Junior Mage: At Your Service!

AUTUMN HAS ARRIVED IN FULL, turning the trees around Hyperion Mage's Academy into fiery blurs of orange and red. You and your fellow third years stand nervously in the courtyard, holding overstuffed suitcases. Today, you will leave the academy and travel many miles to your assigned town of non-magics for the mage's traditional year of civic service. 

You and your classmate have agreed to exchange letters during this time, sharing everything about the friends you make and the adventures that find you...

HOW TO PLAY

Junior Mage is a epistolary (letter-writing) role-playing game meant to be played with a partner through the mail. Each player uses regular playing cards as prompts as they write and send correspondences as young mages using their magic to help others and build new friendships. 

With each letter you send, you'll enclose a playing card to inspire your partner's reply.  No GM needed.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

Download includes a two-sided 8 1/2x11 trifold guide, a Town Map, and rules to play the game. Both you and your partner will need a copy of all files (no need to purchase twice, just send the pdfs to the other player), a six-sided die, a deck of regular playing cards, paper, postage, and envelopes. 

SOLO RULES

For a solo, RPG journaling variant, simply create the deck as instructed and play as though keeping a journal as your character. Add in additional cards for longer games if desired.
