Rising Dark
A downloadable game
Los Angeles. City of Angels. Never before has a place been so poorly named, a fact you know better than most. As a lowly foot soldier for The Sect, it's your job to maintain some semblance of balance and peace between the oblivious world of mortals and the foul creatures threatening to spill over into its streets.
You've made contact with another agent a few districts over. Although magic is unsuited for protecting electronic communication, letters can be easily secured with some quick spellwork.
So you write to keep each other updated on any advancements and barriers that arise as you hunt down these wretched creatures.
A sealed folder slides beneath your front door - another assignment from The Sect. You grab your coat, drain what's left of your whiskey, and head out into the pouring rain...

HOW TO PLAY
Designed specifically to be played through the mail, Rising Dark has two players using regular playing cards as prompts as they write and send correspondences as agents of The Sect, hunting down creatures of darkness throughout the streets of Los Angeles.
With each letter you send, you'll enclose a playing card to inspire your partner's reply. No GM needed.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
Download includes a two-sided 8 1/2x11 trifold guide to play the game. Both you and your partner will need a copy of the rules (no need to purchase twice, just send the pdf to the other player), a six-sided die, a deck of regular playing cards, paper, postage, and envelopes.
MISC.
For a single player variant, simply create the deck as instructed, follow directions for the opening entries and play as though keeping a journal as your character.
If, for any reason, you are unable to purchase at this time, DM me through twitter (@tozieer) for a download key, no questions asked.
