The Wanderers
A downloadable game
YOU AND YOUR FRIEND wave farewell before boarding separate starships charted for new colonies in the hinterlands of space. Though you will be several light-years apart, you promise to keep in touch through the Unified Starways Parley System. You'll use this network to tell each other about the life you build and the love you discover in the far reaches of space...
After decades of travel under cryosleep, you finally arrive in the colony 's port. You disembark and survey your new home, your first letter already forming in your mind.

******************
Designed specifically to be played through the mail, The Wanderers has two players using regular playing cards as prompts as they write and send correspondences about the love they find and the lives they live as they build a new home in the interstellar colonies. With each letter players send, they'll enclose a playing card to inspire their partner's reply. Together, they'll write stories, find love, and build a new life light years from Earth. No GM needed.
For a single player solo variant, simply create the deck as instructed, follow directions for the opening entries and play as though keeping a journal as your character. Add in additional cards for longer games if desired.

These games are fantastic! I've got two Wanderers games and a Strange Places game going and I'm having a ball!
Two quit notes: 1) you can find really cheap card decks at thrift stores, and 2) the trifold design is really great, but for it to print properly in duplex mode on my Brother laser printer I needed to rotate the second page 180°.
You've done a really great job here and I look forward to more!
Thank you so much for the kind words. I'm glad you're enjoying the games!
Great tip on the thrift store decks. Dollar stores also often have them for super cheap.
For your printer, it should print correctly if you tell it to flip on the short end, instead of the long end. I have a Brother laser printer too.
Aha! I hadn't tried that, thank you, I'll give it a whirl.
